Our Mission.

The Virginia Academic Intelligent Automation Community of Practice (CoP) helps public and private Virginia Colleges and Universities become acquainted, educated, and learn the power of software automation and how it can benefit institutions of higher learning be more effective and efficient, toward building higher levels of student experience (SE).

The CoP is a collaborative effort among all Commonwealth schools of higher education to also overcome the technical, management, and operational challenges that arise in designing and deploying effective Intelligent Automation programs and initiatives. This includes important initiatives like designing common standards for credentialing, ensuring privacy and security, and designing common performance metrics to gauge institutional impact, providing for collaborative discussions and for individuals to have questions answered among other areas.

The Intelligent Automation CoP comprises technical and non-technical academic leaders across Virginia colleges and universities who want to learn more about Intelligent Automation, understand how it’s use can improve higher education, implement solutions, or share their passion.

 

Who We Are.

The CoP helps Virginia Schools of Higher Education convert Intelligent Automation enthusiasm into action. Specifically, the CoP helps schools develop programs that are cost-effective and auditable, avoid common pitfalls, and make a significant impact. The CoP hosts frequent knowledge-sharing sessions, conducts webinars, holds public discussions, offers events, conducts and releases research, and publishes valuable guidance on best practices. It also provides a forum for industry contact and interaction when needed, and university-based automation experts to assist with questions and issues related to automation execution.
